Welcome to the official website for Abercarn RFC. We hope that the site will provide a new avenue for interaction between the club and all our supporters.
Abercarn RFC is a small friendly club with a long and proud tradition of playing open and fast rugby, making our players very attractive to the bigger clubs !
Founded in 1895, we currently play in Division 5 East of the SWALEC League and this year you can watch us on TV as BBC's SCRUM V follows our progress throughout the season.
Due to the size of our squad we are urgently looking to start a 2nd senior side / development team to give players on the verge of the 1st team some game time. We are looking for some extra players to supplement this development squad plus a team manager, coaching will take place on Tuesday and Thursday nights. PLEASE NOTE THAT BOTH SENIOR AND UNDER 16's TRAINING TAKES PLACE EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY AT THE WELFARE GROUND, ABERCARN.
